Named after one of the oldest old swineherds in Bath who had a severe hangover resulting form a late night session in this historic inn. With its two Bars, one a vibrant and eclectic mix of local alcoholics who delight in exchanging over the top anecdotes and under the table merchandise. Pheasants can be swapped for trout and rabbits for large pollock. For the connoisseur of good music there is always the silence of the Lounge where the more mature locals can be viewed propped up in their chairs dreaming of times gone by and listening to the gurgling of the little stream opposite. There is a selection of Ales, which make a decision almost impossible. The bowls of roasted potatoes on the bar at Sunday lunchtimes creates such enthusiam that it isquite easy to see why Bath is always at the top of the Rugby League. |
